本作是圍繞著關於北歐神話中雷神托爾的鐵錘展開的，傳說托爾的鐵錘擁有開天闢地的偉大力量，能夠將高山劈成峽谷，甚至具備對抗眾神的威力，但數千年以來有關雷神之錘的記載一直都被認為是單純的神話。
主角羅拉在地中海一座古代遺跡中，意外發現了有關挪威古代傳說中地下世界以及雷神之錘確實存在的證據。為了揭開神話背後隱藏的秘密，我們的混血貴族美女考古學家再次踏上了艱險的旅程，而且這一次她的發現，可能將牽扯到整個人類文明的存亡。
